After breakfast, meet your private tour guide to explore the location of the Step Pyramid of King Djoser, the second king of the third ruling family during the old kingdom, which is home to the first stone pyramid in recorded history. When you reach the Saqqara necropolis, enter the site through the original entrance to begin your sightseeing in Cairo.
You will have access to one of the pyramids of the 6th dynasty kings, the Pyramid of Teti, as well as the tomb of his son-in-law Kagemni, one of the most well-preserved noble tombs at Saqqara. Inside, you will see various carvings and inscriptions for daily life scenes in ancient Egypt, such as hunting and making offerings to the gods. The pyramid of King Teti is not the perfectly round structure we are accustomed to seeing; instead, it is primarily an elevated hill with a burial shaft.
Have a nice lunch at a Saqqara restaurant before moving on to see the artifacts on display in the museum of Memphis, which served as Egypt's ancient capital from 5000 years ago. You'll see there the alabaster sphinx, which is the second-largest sphinx in ancient Egypt after the Great Sphinx in Giza. You'll also see the enormous colossal statue of King Ramses II, who ruled Egypt during the new kingdom.
Now we will see the two beautiful pyramids in Dahshur, the Red Pyramid, and the Bent Pyramid that were built for King Snefru, father of Cheops who built the greatest pyramid in Giza.
You will be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay.
